Accelerated Programs with High Academic Standards
The University of Mary has been a leader in adult education since its founding in 1955. We recognize the challenge of balancing family, work, and community obligations as you pursue an advanced degree. Our distance education programs are developed with your work experience, lifestyle, and career goals in mind.
The accelerated course work for the undergraduate management completion degree program and the MBA program offers the adult learner the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in as few as 15 months and a MBA degree is as few as 20 months while meeting obligations of family, work, and community. Adult learners enroll with a cohort and learn from one another, as well as from the faculty, with immediate application to the workplace. The Web-based curriculum offers flexibility and detailed assignments for each week. Class size is limited to ensure interaction between students and faculty and to maintain high academic standards consistent with those of the University of Mary.
Welcome to the School of Accelerated and Distance Education (SADE) at the University of Mary, America's Leadership University. Since 1959, it has been committed to lifelong learning. It was the first college in the region to offer specialized programs (in nursing and education) designed to meet the unique needs of adult students. With the founding of The School of Accelerated and Distance Education (formerly the College for Professional Studies) in 1996, the university renewed and expanded this commitment to adult learners. Beginning with sites in Bismarck and Fargo, ND, in 10 short years we have grown to include 16 sites in five states as well as a program that is delivered completely online. We have over 3,000 graduates and currently serve 900-plus students through our site-based and online programs.
Our accelerated programs recognize that adult students have the experience, the discipline, and the capability of learning through a nontraditional approach. With accelerated programs at both the bachelor's and master's degree levels, U-Mary is the region's No. 1 choice for adult learners.
The University of Mary has enjoyed continuous accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1969. The new online program for the University of Mary has also received accreditation. We take great pride in delivering accredited programs that are specifically designed and developed around the dynamic needs of the adult learner. We strive to aid adult learners in expanding their skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to excel as effective leaders while maintaining balance with family, work and community obligations.
